The Challenge

By the end of 2012, Cushman & Wakefield Retail team was appointed by local Slovak developer Euro MAX Slovakia to secure exclusive leasing of a unique project - City Arena in Trnava.
City Arena is specific for its direct connection to football stadium, central location and very good overall accessibility.
The shopping centre City Arena Trnava was set to become a commercial, social, cultural and sport centre. The whole project counts 29 500 sq m GLA, 120 retail units and 1000 parking places.

The Solution

The advisory services provided by Cushman & Wakefield Retail team included:
• preparation of appropriate tenant mix
• determining current rental rates and future rent revenues
• marketing and fit-out advisory services
• advisory on lease agreements
• leasing of the project

City Arena has 2 retail floors while the entertainment area continues on the third floor too. Part of the project is a street retail area comprising local cafes and restaurants with summer terraces.

C&W Retail team secured key tenants such as multiplex Cinema, Billa, H&M, Reserved, New Yorker, Lindex, Intersport, Swarovski, Mohito, Pantha Rhei, Fit Up Fitness and many others.

Besides Retail team there was coordination of the project secured by Cushman & Wakefield Project management team.

The Results

City Arena was opened on 22nd August 2015.
City Arena is a modern multifunctional project linking a fuction of shopping, entertainment and sports center and is adjacent directly to the pedestrian zone center of Trnava.
City Arena project revitalized and increased the value of prime city center´s area.
